We had to try to complete a trailer in 2 hours from scratch - planning, filming and editing. This was intended to alert us to some of the main difficulties of creating a trailer so that we would avoid these traps when creating our real coursework. We didn't manage to finish, but here are the versions we came up with.
Plot Overview
Our trailer is for a film called "500 Days of Lucy". It is a rom-com. Luke is a male writer of romance novels. He becomes unexpectedly successful and his agent insists on a big promotional tour. He hires a woman to pretend to be him, Lucy, for the 500 days of the promotion as he is embarrassed about what he does. They fall in love. However, one of Luke's biggest fans uncovers the scam and is furious. They cause trouble, which causes Luke and Lucy to split up. They are reconciled at the end of the film when Lucy reads Luke's next book, which is all about him meeting and falling in love with her.
