We were asked to create a magazine cover in an hour. This was our second try at using Photoshop and so we wanted to be more ambitious. We were allowed to create the cover featuring either our experimental trailer or a feature film we were inventing on the spot. We had to take the main photo ourselves as one of the main aims of this task was to learn how to compose and frame shots like this for the coursework print products. We had very limited time but here are a small selection of the photos we took:
Because we were given strict time limits, we did not finish the task, but we did get a good sense of what is required when creating magazine covers. Like the posters, we will evaluate this when we look generally at Photoshop and its advantages and disadvantages for this kind of work. Here are our attempts at making magazine covers:
